Flickr Question

I just tried to add two pictures to my Flickr account photostream this morning. So, I know that Flickr Uploadr still works properly despite the change of management at Flickr. For now.

Also, I can look at my Flickr photostream with my preferred browser, but I can't log in to edit my stuff there with said browser version. Oh well.

Cookie problem? Or Flickr server problem?

I suspect security policy problem. They tell me my preferred browser version is too old for their liking when I try to log in.

So the uploader is a different program, I take it?

I powered up an old MacBook from 2007/8 and can't remotely run a modern browser on it. It's amazing the number of web sites that it cannot access.

Flickr Uploadr was developed separately by outside parties, yes.

A lot of websites are designed these days on the assumption of a minimum set of hardware and software being owned by or accessible to most people. Not much allowance made at all for people who lag behind for whatever combinations of reasons.
