Now, could you stock some of the magazines that would get me shopping at your stores?

Harper's, ImagineFX, Trains, The New Republic, Bloomberg Business Week, Mother Jones, Cinefex, Mark (an architecture magazine), Canadian Architect, Quill and Quire...it's a long and incomplete list.

Also, I remember when pharmacies really packed in a wide selection of paperback books...

Whenever people complain about how people like me are putting brick and mortar stores out of business, I ask if those stores offer a diverse selection or helpful staff or literally anything that would be worth putting on pants for.

If anything, they've been culling the titles available. Admittedly, some of the titles I mentioned at the top have never made it to Shoppers or Loblaws, I believe the majority of them have.

It's a vicious cycle - everything is selling online and they're not making sales, so they can't afford to buy as much stock, so you can't find what you want in store and buy online

I don't even look at the book and magazine racks of local stores since our alleged book store closed. It wasn't much, but it was it was the world at your fingertips compared to the rubbis h elsewhere in town.
