We marched in a science march last year, there were four astronomer from Apache Point (my wife's observatory), plus one husband (me) and one friend. I carried a sign that said "Baking = Science" on one side and "Free Cookies" on the other and gave out cookies.
I got a lot of laughs, several people took pictures of me, and I gave out a lot of cookies - and received lots of compliments for them! Also explained a lot about the science of baking: precision measurements, experimentation, recording results, etc.
