It’s been a stressful few years anyway, but I confess for the past month I’ve been at least 100% more scared than even I was.

There's a movie by Michael Moore called Where To Invade Next. He goes to various European countries and highlights something they do phenomenally well, such as France's school lunch program which is amazing and very affordable, less than we spend on that program down here. In one of the Nordic countries, they have a law that their Parliament can have no more than 55-60% of one gender. By law.

Here, we have more women registering to run for office than ever before. And that's where it has to start. I like her attitude, and this garbage about unfunded mandates has to end. This was a problem about Bernie Sanders that I had. I never saw a complete tax plan for how universal college and such would be funded. Of course with our Cheetoh Benito, nothing gets funded, he just rants and Congress goes on its merry way.

How we elected someone with no idea how our government works I'll never understand. They should require candidates to pass the senior high school government/civics test of their state before they can run. That, by itself, would have kept him out.

It's a thought-provoking movie, and I thought quite entertaining.  Not only are the things that he illustrates very beneficial to the society at large, pretty much invariably the people in charge of the program say they got the idea from the United States of America, where they DON'T DO THAT PROGRAM. Irony - such a wonderful thing. He's not saying all these countries are infinitely superior to the USA, just that they each have certain aspects that are wonderful and there's no reason why we couldn't implement these ideas ourselves and improve our society by doing so.
