It was 50f when I got up at 8am.

I bought something off Bezos' little commerce site called Yak Trax that are quite convenient for such times, I've never really needed them since. Maybe that's what's causing our area to have less snow....

I really like the small ones because I could keep them in my back pack, just in case, without them taking too much space.

As it turned out, the accident didn't happen until I got indoors. Wet shoes, a store whose winter carpeting had just been pulled...

Fortunately, I didn't have to do the complete pratfall.

Eeek!  I guess the one good thing about no snow here, hence no ice, is I have reduced risk of falling and breaking something.
