From Hosnian Prime to Crait takes maybe 2-3 weeks? In that time, the Resistance takes down Starkiller Base, the Fulminatrix and the Supremacy. That last item had a crew of 2.2 million, per the Cross-Sections book. No idea about the numbers for Starkiller Base, but they'd have to have been higher.
For a combat force that kept getting ground down to next to nothing, they wiped a large chunk of high-value First Order assets, strategic, tactical and symbolic. Also, Snoke is getting blamed on them too.
How fast do you think the Resistance will be able to regroup with that kind of reputation?
