Kicking Off April 2007

I've got a bit of an odd-ball mix of stuff to cover...
Photography Notes: Whilst talking a walk around the neighbourhood this past Saturday, I happened into the local Henry's outlet. A minor shock followed(at least for me), wherein I discovered just far behind the times my digital camera has become in the five years since I bought it. Turns out that Canon's switched its memory card standard for everything selling for under C$ 1000 from Compact Flash to SecureDigital. Something to do with the fragility of the tines via which the CF cards plug into the camera, or so the lady working the counter told me.
This news made me feel just a tad older than I wanted to right then.
Comics: Not much to report at the moment, beyond the research I asked about a couple of postings ago. (Wondering if early seasons of ER might also be of use along those lines, now that I think about it. How long has that series been running?)
New faces: Noticed more than a couple of newcomers officially friending me here this week. Thanks much to all of you, and I hope you'll stick around a while!
Movies: I'm going to try to take in Young Triffie this weekend, if I can juggle the schedule enough. CanCon movies are rare enough as it is, and ones made by solid talent - Mary Walsh of 22 Minutes fame in this case - are even rarer. At least for now.
Back to you...
