Comics Notes in the Morning
Mar. 4th, 2007 09:10 amDrawing page layouts this morning, and not entirely happy with the character posing and whatnot. Meanwhile, I've been checking some e-mail and some blogs. A few quick notes:
- Mark Shainblum's started up a new webcomic, The Haunting of McGrath, with Jeff Alward on the artwork. It's a detective story set in 19th Century Montréal. Looks interesting. Also, there's a new installment of Canadiana as co-plotted with series creator Sandy Carruthers and illustrator A. T. Kraust.
- I've added the weblog of a novelist whose mystery work I've enjoyed for a while now to my RSS feeds on my friendlist: William Bernhardt. His novels featuring Oklahoma attorney Ben Kincaid have kept my attention over the last decade or so. The feed is sent to LJ via
bernhardt_blog. - A shout-out to the creative team of DC's Manhunter series, newly rescued yet again from the jaws of cancellation. Marc Andreyko, Javier Pina, Robin Riggs? Take a bow! Here's to a long run...as in "at least a decade". (No reason why we should have small ambitions for a good title.)
