dewlineI've noticed an essay by Jennifer de Guzman getting just a bit of quotational play this morning while I was lightboxing away at this and that thing over and over for Local Hero # 2. And it got me thinking.
(So did Lee Barnett for that matter. Take a bow, Lee.)
I don't expect to get rich at this stuff. There's only so much room for the likes of Lynn Johnston, the Schulz Estate, Todd McFarlane and so on, and I've never been entirely sure that I'd want that kind of fame and the issues that go with it. Being able to just earn a halfway decent living at the drawing table, keyboard and tablet would be more than enough.
Works for me.
Now, I'd better get back to work. That American Eagles group shot on page 1 won't wait forever...
