Manga genre question

I seem to recall a genre in Japanese comics that celebrates cooking and those who make either hobby or career out of it. Do I remember correctly, and if "yes", what is it called?

So I've been reading thanks to clues from friends over on Facebook. There doesn't seem to be a name for such books as a group yet. Not that the ones who've spoken up so far know of.
