License plates, comic book TV and me

Been keeping up with the new TV version of The Flash, and so far it's been an entertaining run. One little annoyance, though.

Check this pic from "Mashimero" on Flickr out.

Look at the license plate on the police cruiser. Notice anything about it?

Anything that isn't there and ought to be?

But then they'd have to either place their fictional Central City in a RL U.S. state, or make up a state name.

Unless there's some DC canon about the Au's local governments I'm unaware of.

They've actually given Central City a host state in the comics on several occasions. Ohio in the late 1970's. Missouri from about the 1990's to 2011.
