SHIELD TV, Between the Movies: Additional Notes

Spotted this over at Screenrant today.

Which now has me somewhat more curious than I already was as of this morning.

Personally, I stick with the assumption that SHIELD already has a few metric tonnes of stuff going on off-camera between episodes and movies. What that stuff is might be worth a couple of movies off to one side. Coulson's team isn't the only thing in progress. It can't be.

Now back to finding that missing paperwork of mine...

I wonder if, ultimately, we might be seeing a 'Nick Fury vs SHIELD' scenario, where the organization goes corrupt and only Nick, Coulson and others can stop them...

Hmmm. That might entail a Nick Fury movie, rather than something carried out under the Agents of SHIELD banner...or a year-long arc on TV.

I see a danger in bringing in Fury on the TV series in that the cast we've started out with end up becoming second bananas on their own show. Remember what happened with The West Wing once Martin Sheen showed up for the first time on camera?

Jackson's Fury deserves his own venue, separate from this bunch. Whether that's TV or movies is something I'd be glad to debate.

Here's another thought: Winter Soldier looks like Cap vs SHIELD. Might explain why no SHIELD in IM?
