Florida and Mixed Feelings

I've been keeping an eye on the Ernesto situation as it develops.

I'm more than a little ticked over the apparent consequences for Atlantis' mission to ISS Alpha. I'm also concerned for more than a few friends who live in the general neighbourhood, including one who's been working with me on Retail Therapy(although it looks like her neighbourhood will avoid taking the hit at the moment).

Hoping for the best for everyone I know, and everyone who knows me, whatever happens...

I don't think it's going to be too bad, because as far as I know right now, it's still just a tropical storm, not really a walk in the park but no where NEAR the trouble even a category 1 Hurricane is.

It should be up around my parts (although slightly weakened) by Wed or so, just before I fly out to Atlanta. Although truth be told I don't think it's going to cause too much trouble by the time it gets to me, but those poor Floridians. It's like God hates them! :-p

So noted, Danny, re: your own neighbourhood. I remember checking the "five-day path" chart at Wikipedia as I was writing the original text of this posting, and it showed as much.

As for Floridians, I hope you're wrong about divine grudges. I'd think they've been through enough at this point.

I hope I'm wrong too, but I think the only grudge the big guy has is against the republican party, for using his name as the reasoning for every vile bit of dirty work they want doing. They just seem to conspire in Florida.

Maybe the good people ought to ask them to relocate to Nebraska or something just for a few years so the wraith can leave them be for awhile.
