Just saw the latest Detective. I'm still planning on buying it.

But...

I must say this in respectful disagreement to Mr. Dini: did you have to do that to the Riddler at all?

No, not his new job. I like the idea of that, as far as I can see right now.

The amnesia thing.

Genuinely sorry to see the playing-out of that particular consequence of "Hush" postponed like that.

Yes, I'm one of those "pro-permanent changes" fanboys at heart. It sometimes blows up in my face when I get what I want, true. But I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Haven't seen it yet (download day is tomorrow) but then again, we're not really sure as to how things went down on this new Earth. There is going to be a lot of residual fall out from the timelines being altered during the Crisis.

As I've said I won't be able to form a decent opinion until tomorrow but I can imagine that there will be a lot of "selective amnesia" throughout the course of the DC Universe due to a lot of lost time and events that in this new world didn't happen exactly as they did in the old one.

Which is why we have Pamela Isley back as Poison Ivy and not that new one that was created after Hush killed the original back in Gotham Knights or whatever that cancelled book they ended like that was.

I've been noticing some of this "roll the clock back" syndrome for a while here. Not just Eddie and Ivy, but Harvey as well as those "1985-2005" rogues all biting the dust in the course of "Face the Face".

Troubling...

Yeah, although it is par for the course for all these types of reboot things. The original Crisis, Zero Hour, "Hypertime" (that one lasted all of three seconds) all kind of adjust things to keep the longevity of these characters going over the decades.

Once you hit the 60 year mark (and thousands of differnet chefs stirring the pot) it's hard to keep things fresh without a few alterations I have faith that Dini can give us the Batman that won Emmys. :)
