Big Corporate Entertainment vs. CBC Music

dewlineJustin Beach just posted an opinion piece on a new legal battle started up by several privately-owned "gatekeeper" companies against CBC Music, the new online music venture begun by the CBC.
I would object to his assessment in only one respect: The legal assault is not naive.
As for "misguided"...several of the involved parties, so I suspect, have long viewed CBC's mere existence as a threat and a rebuke to their business practices.
What say you?
