Some of my neighbours seem unclear...

...on the concept behind "That which ye do to the least of these, my brethren, ye do also unto me."(1) At least judging by this item on the Bytown Banner:
http://bytownbanner.com/2011/10/05/affluent-orleans-residents-to-habitat-for-humanity-not-in-our-backyard/
While the people hoping to move into those homes - whose names we do not know - are likely not literally among "the least", they're trying to do their best and making a decent effort. In fact, from what I heard on Ottawa Morning as I type this, the prospective owners are currently among the working homeless of our city. We do have those people too, and it would seem that they've had to endure that state for far too long already.
Complaining about Habitat for Humanity's attempts to do the right thing by our neighbours when they make the attempt in your backyard seems contrary to the spirit of the Biblical advice at the top of the post.
No?
(1) I may yet need to have the exact phrasing of the quote corrected, depending on which edition of the Bible we're using.
