I too do not subscribe to this tiresome canard. It has caused more trouble than anyone can shake a stick at.

The lifetime of a corporation, for example, is often rather shorter than a human being. But accepting that corporations can fail is just Not Allowed these days, if they are Big Enough. Hence the cry heard in 2008: "Company XX is too big to fail!"

What they missed is that, if a company is "too big to fail", it's really Too Big. Period.

Where is anti-trust when we need it most??

"Being ignored as a useful option at the moment" is the response I'd use from a place of fear right now.

Anyone else have any thoughts on the anti-trust laws in the US being left aside?
