The comments, as always, are depressing. I don't know why I read them.

This is probably par for the course under the modern Tories; whether she is a lackey of theirs or not, it's saddening that Canadian politics have come to this. Harper and co are thugs and dragging us all down to their level.

She's "out" both as an ally of the New Conservatives - I'll never call'em "Tories" - and in another sense as well.

Oh hey, she's from the riding I grew up in. Her former name does sound somewhat familiar (though I was too young to vote in those elections). I see she went to an exclusive school, too.

A lesbian feminist Harper Conservative does not really compute, but I guess it takes all kinds.
