I guess we know that the province is on the right track now.

They just got their first death threats over the proposed changes. Or so the CBC News report in the link is telling us.

It seems people make death threats all the time these days. I'm half-surprised I've never received death threats over my Internet postings, or something stupid like that.

It sometimes seems as if there's been nothing but such threats over the centuries, if history texts are any useful guide. We've seen them issued over certain comic book characters' latest supposed deaths, politics internal to specific religions(not naming ANY names here mainly because we'd be "here" all night and well into the next week covering the entire list of those names), and mixed marriages in Nova Scotia by people who happen to be fool enough to consider Hitler a holy martyr.

In this instance, though, I suspect that trying to bring the pricing of generic meds to heel would indeed be a good thing on principle. The indy pharmacies around the province could use some protection from unwanted side effects, I agree, but not so much for the major chains given their ongoing efforts to impersonate groceries and department stores.
