Haven't decided on one yet, although I'm figuring on the place being about as large as metropolitan Montréal down the line if that helps matters.

That's one more thing I need to do some further study on. What's the ideal runway length for, say, a 747? A Concorde, out of service though they are?

I think the minimum for a 747 is around 10,000 feet. Let me check...

Actually, seems it needs even more than that at maxium take-off weight. Probably 11,000 or 11,500 feet is considered safe.
