I was torn last series bc I kind of like the Mariners, but who wouldn't love a team that kicked out the Yankees and (fingers crossed) Dodgers? Truly the Jays are America's team!
Also, a good bit of this is LA sports writers know they are the villains and are good at playing the heel. Much love-hate to the guy who before their Padres series a couple years back wrote a whole column about "The Padres view the Dodgers like the hiker views the mountain. He sweats and strains to conquer it; it doesn't know he exists." And then when LA lost, went on the radio to complain that the series wasn't fair because the Padres' fans were too loud.
