SPACE: Comets Orbiting Beta Pictoris
May. 24th, 2019 09:48 amThree of them so far, but I expect there to be many more. How many confirmed orbiting Sol so far, after all?
The article cites the distance from Sol as 63 light-years, but Bailer-Jones/GAIA DR2 puts it as 65. I look forward to more precise interstellar distance data, of course.

Sidebar: exoplanet.eu's current count as of 23 May 2019: 4071 exoplanets.

This is the local film and TV liaison office's website:

It's for real, they organize the annual film, TV and animation job fair...which I've attended twice so far. Most recently, at the top of this month in between events at WritersFest. The timing was tight, but not impossible to manage. Seems like a good thing to keep an eye on.
