On transit: Spacing Toronto's Sean Marshall notices the habit of "soaking" in that city's transit system. One suspects that the practice is not confined to Toronto, nor is "soaking" the only nickname for it in the world.

On Ottawa infrastructure: Eric Darwin suggests a change for bike paths in Ottawa: giving the paths names of their own. I don't see why not.

Eric also notes the discussion of improvements to our O-Train service on his own blog. Again: no problem with the idea or the plan from my POV. It makes sense.

Looking back about a month in time...Not quite sure as to what's going on here, as I spotted it en route to one of the Jane's Walk tours. I know it used to be the home of a second food court on the Rideau Street level of the mall.

I don't know quite whom to thank or blame for raising this one. By right of lack of expertise on the subject, I should be passing this one on to Law and the Multiverse. This might not be entirely fair to the authors of that weblog, seeing as their primary expertise is in American law.
