Assorted Nonsense
Feb. 8th, 2008 10:03 pmStarted layout roughs for page 18 of # 2 tonight. I am pleased with the progress, although I need to do a bit of tinkering still before I'm happy enough to go to detailed pencils. I love Comic Life for setting up panel locations, sizes and for letting me remind myself to make room for the letterer to work. If you're not doing everything yourself - and oft-times, even if you are - you need to remember to do this sort of thing as a rule.
It still doesn't excuse me from having to do actual pencil work on actual paper, thankfully. Which is good, as I enjoy that practice.
Moving on...
A bit of news from BC, where the RCMP have undertaken what is surely one of their odder security details to date. Go take a look, and see if "odd" is in fact a good word for it.
I want to rant a bit about the Canadian Television Fund situation, but am finding that others are voicing my concerns better than I. Denis McGrath for instance...
Also, I started reading The Shock Doctrine today. Seemed like a good time to finally get around to that, especially after Michael Byers' Intent for a Nation
