Inspired by work-related reading, yes.

I started wondering this morning if such was now underway. Did a web search and I've found that the debate about that has been underway for at least the last two or three years. Wondering now about your informed opinions on the matter.

The thing to watch is the ?new? AI flow.
It's already being used for scamming seniors and the less cautious puter users. It will get much worse.
What's worse is that the pols rarely or never get ahead of developing problems, so don't expect that to happen in this case.
Fun TV show from years back is "Max Headroom" that comes to mind.
Left unchecked (See: any existing "social media" for "algorithms" making selections of what to show), the AI has the likelihood of shutting down any commerce and interactions what aren't F2F will not be trustworthy.

Fun Fact: There's no problem that tech can't make worse.

Personally, I'm not convinced that there's a major difference between the third and fourth. Or, if there is, it should happen in about 1995, with the internet hitting the mass market, rather than in 2015.

I certainly don't think that there's been a major change in manufacturing and industry between 2015 and 2023!
