But the beauty of the Fediverse is that even if Mastodon.social was out, it's a federated network and you can use your backup unlike twittler.

I've indeed recently seen others report intermittent issues. Interesting to watch the course of it staggering along under current management …

I'm also regularly getting notices of "logged in from a new device" despite consistently using the same computer and browser (regularly updated, of course) for years.

Unless they get bought out twittler is doomed. No need to post at all on there as it only supports fascism.
