What happens to the various kinds of files of a temp company that goes out of business?

Not to increase worry but it probably depends. Was the co bought or folded? If folded, paper files are likely either dumped or possibly shredded depending on who clears the space. Computer files may or may not get erased. The computer gear may be scrapped or resold. If resold, the buyer may just erase or reformat w/o even checking.

If bought, the files (of both kinds) may be merged or disposed of in a more orderly manner depending entirely on who the buyer is of course.

Yes, it would be nicer if information was handled better in general.
