So...it seems we've managed to hold onto the status quo ante electionem in Canada. I'm settled up with my dentist until next year. I still have a roof over my head for now. I've got an interview with one of the temp companies later this morning.

Oh, and the Ottawa Animation Festival and Typewknd 2021 are both getting underway soonish?

I can't even do a hot take. Which is fine. I don't like the status quo, but I would rather protest the status quo than the fash.

The status quo people aren't - to my knowledge - actively, enthusiastically plotting to kill us whatever we choose to do, so this is definitely preferable.

Now if we can pry improvements to the health care system, UBI/Mincome/whatever we end up calling it, ecological committments that can be backed up, further progress on the Calls to Action, etc. out of the current crop in Parliament between now and whenever the next vote is, we absolutely should.
