Are you a javascript guy at all? Have you looked into React?

Mentioning React because it's become by far the most in-demand front-end web development framework these last few years, requirement for it is not waning, and while the learning curve has gotten a little steeper with recent versions, once you're over that initial hump, it's a no-nonsense framework that's delightful to work with. Since you've had experience working with Drupal I thought I'd mention it. I know Drupal is a CMS rather than a front-end framework but I don't know the scope of your search so I'm just throwing darts in the dark. :)

I don't have experience with Drupal yet. This is why I got those books about that software: to see what I can learn from them before stumbling into a job requiring it.
