I'm apparently not the only one who thinks that this news bodes ill. On either side of the border. I'm not entirely sure that I agree with all of the other critics' reasons, but it's still a concern.
As distressing as this news is, I don't think we can afford the obliviousness. Harper should have spoken up, as we know he could make a fair case for the deal. He also had to know that the Pentagon would've spoken up when asked no matter what if they had no reason of their own to keep silent.
