If you're interested, I can tell you about a game I do with my kids about why GDP is a flawed measure of prosperity.

My take on the GDP is that it is a good measure for the overall size of an economy, but not its health, it really doesn't say anything about how well that economy is doing.

It's called the Game of Oligarchy. Essentially the starting position (everyone has $100, and you bet on the outcome of coin tosses) and ending position (one or two people have $500-600, most people have nothing) have the same GDP.
