Canada needs to have a process in place for refugees to use if the US situation goes completely sour on its citizens. Pandemic or not, we have to have that process in place. We also should have started re-arming twenty years ago, but we didn't know to anticipate someone like Trump being installed in the Oval Office twenty years ago. Did we?

I've talked with American friends about who gets to hide here. Unfortunately a lot of people I care about are there.

Fortunately the election date is enshrined in Federal law, and the date his term as "President" ends is enshrined in the Constitution. Both McConnel and Pelosi have told him that they will not change the law for him. So the election will go on as scheduled.

I've noticed that pushback from across the political spectrum. Including Tucker Carlson. I doubt that he'll drop the idea. He's going to rerun it, and he's pinned that tweet to make sure it stays in the minds of his base and his critics.

Of course the big problem is that he's destroying the Post Office, so mailed ballots are going to be unreliable.  The thing people need to do is pick up ballots early and return them by hand.

I've noticed the Lincoln Project is adding the current Postmaster-General to their priorities list as of today per their Twitter account. It's likely not the only organization to be paying attention to this, but whether it's enough to make them back off...?
