I hope someone else is directing him, though. He does better with someone else at the wheel, in my opinion.

I believe he's directing the show himself. Not the first time he's worn this many hats, although we could argue over whether he's spread himself too thin on such projects until the cattle get back to their barns.

Hee hee, we won't argue. He's as sexy a piece of man-flesh that God ever tortured a fat, middle-aged woman with. And more talent in his little finger than my whole yada yada. All that notwithstanding, don't you think that Cold Comfort or Due South season two are better pieces of work than Men With Brooms?

Never saw Cold Comfort, as best I can recall, although you could argue either way on the two projects that leaves us both able to discuss. Season Two had more going for it in some respects than 3 and 4, though.

If you still own a VCR and want to see a pretty good movie in which a young PG does an actually skillful acting job, remind me to find my old tape of Cold Comfort and bring it on a Tuesday. As for the DS seasons, don't you agree that by season 4 there was some sort of strange pod-creature in the fat body of what used to be Constable Fraser?
