WEATHER: No Joy
Jan. 11th, 2020 08:03 pmFreezing rain night here.
Ottawa-Gatineau doesn't have it the worst in Canada, mind you, but it's still a pain to those of us living here.
More on other stuff later...

Date: 2020-01-12 04:09 pm (UTC)Friday at the library was interesting. I came out of the back, glanced at the outside windows, and noticed it was snowing. I knew it was too warm for it to accumulate, but still, it was pretty. I mentioned it to E, whose birthday was a week ago Friday: she'd been hoping for a snow day so she'd get a day off, but it didn't happen. The girls at the front counter who are work-studies also get a kick out of it.
The library is in Alamogordo, which is about 4600', it doesn't snow there often enough for it to not be a novelty. It snowed for a couple of hours then stopped as the storm moved away. It was enough to close the highway back up the mountain, but it reopened before it was time for me to head home.
