Dental Afternoons
Oct. 7th, 2019 06:01 amAnother dental appointment today to fix things going wrong in a place that was already supposedly fixed. But, this is the wear and tear that human teeth undergo we're talking about here. So perhaps this should never be a surprise to me when it happens.
At least this appointment will cost me less paid-work time than the checkup did.

Date: 2019-10-07 03:42 pm (UTC)I then developed a weird synchronicity linking subsequent filling breakings with travel, in one case having it happen when I was about 10 miles outside of Alamogordo heading for Phoenix. I called my dentist, he could see me, and put in a temp. In another case, I was 600 miles away in Colorado. That time a piece of tooth broke off because of the size of a monster filling. It wasn't causing me problems and she didn't want to address it since it would have been a complex procedure and she wasn't my regular dentist, but it held until I was home a few days later and it wasn't causing me any problems with pain/sensitivity.
Dental problems suck. But they're much worse down here because the insurance coverage is absolutely horrible. We have dental insurance, but it's a case where we pay money into it and the company says Thank You. They do pay for a lot, but the coverage is no where near as good as good medical insurance.
Fillings Are Not Forever

I'm still paying out of pocket, though.
