I currently have an iPhone 6, the last series before Apple, in its truly finite wisdom, got rid of the jack. My quest is to get a pair of iPhone 5's with 128 gig of RAM as they're the smaller form factor.
Last evening as I was trawling Walmart, I stopped to look for another pair of headphones with microphone for my wife, and the wired kind were under lock and key while the wireless kind, which were the same price, were not. Which spawned the thought of Apple's Airpods, which rated ZERO on iFixit's repair scale: use them for two years, when the battery starts to decay, throw them away and buy another set.

I'm really getting vexed at tech companies.
