And what is up with Doug French wanting that "camper-style" vehicle per the second CBC News link, anyway?
Interim OPP Commissioner Brad Blair is doing a good thing in the middle of this mess, by the looks of things.

Date: 2018-12-14 02:23 am (UTC)I think it depends on the method, which may dictate the yield quantity. When I bought my condo, it had a great iron bathtub that had a horrible finish and needed to be redone. I got a recommendation for this guy who could sand it out and redo the finish. I caught him one night - I'd come to the condo after work and work for a couple of hours every night - and he said "The damage done to your bathtub was from the previous people cooking meth in it. I know this because I used to make bathtub meth - I'm a reformed addict." The previous owners of my condo were a massive mess. I think the bathtub method is a tremendously lower chance of explosion, probably lower tolerances. But like you, not my field.

Date: 2018-12-14 02:31 am (UTC)It's not just explosions. Chemical exposure from meth labs will render the house so badly contaminated that it's uninhabitable and will have to be destroyed, frequently it'll be burned as an exercise for the fire department.

Date: 2018-12-14 02:52 am (UTC)It was interesting. The condo complex was very glad to see their tail lights. The guy was an ex-felon (writing bad checks) and they left an unbelievable mess behind them. I'd leave work, and as I said, spend 2-3 hours every night cleaning up, bagging trash and throwing it out. I found a small bag of marijuana (less than what you'd need to roll a joint) and just threw it out, found a larger baggie filled with a white powder. THAT one I called the cops on. They did a field test and and didn't test as anything remarkable, so they tagged it for destruction. And I was working for the police department at the time. (civilian doing computer work) They had two children, one just a few months old, the other a few years old who was developmentally under age. The dad would wheel the other around in a stroller and it was alleged that he was selling drugs hidden under the kid.
My mom salvaged a huge number of toys that she cleaned up and gave away at the church or sold at yard sales.
