RIP Groklaw

This is Upsetting.

I've kept an eye on news reports linkage via this site off and on since learning of it a few years ago. And now ed_rex passed along word today that...well, you've read the Groklaw author's shutdown notice and explanation.

To say that I'm dismayed is putting it mildly.

This is not what we want the internet around for, and yet we are plagued by those of our neighbours across the planet who intend other plans for its future.

For myself, I can't walk away. Not sure what I can actively do at this point, but I know I can't walk away.
