New Garage for Old
Jan. 5th, 2009 04:08 pmThis was taken a month or so back, before the transit strike, during the City Arts Funding Upheavals of 2008. The people responsible for the Rideau Centre - I'll likely need to be corrected/further informed on exactly who later - wanted to put up a new parking garage to replace the one that was originally built attached to that downtown mall.
While it doesn't precisely match the existing decor of the mall itself, the new structure does have a certain charm to it. Not quite "Art Deco", but a distant relative of it.
Even parking garages should look good to the eye, don't you think?
