I attended a (virtual) seminar last week about information technology in the mining industry.
Most mines in Canada have completely separated their controls systems from the internet, because of external actors that keep trying to hack them and crash their equipment.
As in actually crash it, by causing robotic drills and loaders to smash into each other.
It's a bit too targeted and technologically adept for someone just doing it for fun.
