I have that series in my pull file these days - Ta-Nehisi Coates never fails to entertain as a super-hero genre writer who pulls inspiration from his observations on real-worlds society - and I noticed. An interesting surprise in that issue.
Also, I'm guessing the SHIELD people who've fallen in with Orchis...probably wouldn't be the sort of people who ever believed that mutants should have any rights that attach to their baseline-human ancestors and other relatives. No matter how carefully the better SHIELD Executive Directors had their Recruitment Division screen for that flaw.
