Facebook Firsts

dewlineI suspect that today was the first time a Facebook friendlist contact might have been pressured into shutting off their account by an employer's legal team. Not because of crimes, thankfully. They know who they are, and if they're eavesdropping here, I hope they'll know how to reach me to let me know they're alright.

Date: 2018-04-16 03:00 pm (UTC)One thing that amazed me working at an Air Force base is now much time the airmen (the term includes women) that I worked with spent on FB. Everyone in the military has a Secret security clearance, and pretty much all of them use FB to stay in contact with those whom they previously worked with who've been moved to other assignments and bases and countries.
It's like that fitness device, I think it was a Fitbit, that has GPS capability that accurately mapped compounds and bases in Afghanistan and Syria that were considered classified.
Myself, while I do have an account, I don't use it and have pretty much no posts on it.
