Canada needs to have a process in place for refugees to use if the US situation goes completely sour on its citizens. Pandemic or not, we have to have that process in place. We also should have started re-arming twenty years ago, but we didn't know to anticipate someone like Trump being installed in the Oval Office twenty years ago. Did we?

Heroism: A Thought to Share

Michael Enright meditated briefly on the meaning and qualifications of heroism this morning on The Sunday Edition.

Seeing as I hope to keep making at least part of my living through other forms of thought experiments, it seemed proper to pass along a linkage to the essay he put forth for consideration.

Requiescat in Pace: Cpl. Anthony Joseph Boneca

I never met him, so far as I can recall. But, as was written by a playwright in a different context with some degree of wisdom, "attention must be paid". The man served in a dangerous place, doing honourable and dangerous work. He deserves at least this respect from a stranger such as myself.
