Sad News in Exercising, With a Side of Possible Consequences

My stationary bike will either need re-welding, or retiring. One of the main spars(?) has had its welding to the base of the bike become partially unstuck. The bike is therefore now unstable for riding purposes. I may know someone within walking distance who might know how to handle the former...but for the time being, the bike has to sit unused here next to my workstation in the basement.

I'm going to have to get used to walking around the neighbourhood for my exercise again.

It might be workable to take a camera with me on occasion to get images of more of the local street name signage and track down the origins of their names. But I don't want to get into trouble with neighbours who don't know my history with street names. Especially now. The Last Mile

Argh, that's disappointing and frustrating, especially under the current circumstances. I have nothing worse right now than shortening my longer workouts because one of my Bluetooth earphones failed and the mail to bring replacements is slow these days.

Once one of the bolts at the bottom of the front of our machine sheared and it was a real pain to dig the end of it out, that took it out of action awhile. I replaced those with bolts made from far stronger steel so a relatively easy repair really, just annoying, especially as it would not have cost them much extra to simply supply better bolts in the first place.

That is unfortunate about your bike, I would think getting it fixed in these times would not be easy.
