Watching Out for Friends

Particularly for friends with mysteriously suspended accounts.

I just found out about rfmcdpei. I know of no reason for his account to be suspended. For the record, I have no problems with his conduct on Livejournal or anywhere else.

I've seen a lot of those, though most of the ones I saw were people who had simply stopped posting; once some amount of time goes by, they delete you.

In this case, he hasn't stopped being active online. But his account - despite being regularly used here - has been suspended. I know he's active elsewhere on the Web, and have e-mailed him for his POV on the situation. If it's something he's willing to have shared, I'll pass it along.

Active very recently - he linked to a post of mine a few days ago. I notice that his comments are still visible, but none of his posts are.

His comments on my post are missing. I get the message "You are not authorized to see this comment" in my notifications.

I didn't even get to watch the music video he left me yesterday. It's gone.

I am back. I was suspended by an anti-spam bot, for the second time in as many weeks. I've since been restored and informed that my account has been flagged so this won't happen again.

He's certainly been pointing out other things said about Mr. Putin by people that said Russian president would be ill-disposed towards his own fellow Russians noticing.
