Let's see... did he do Rockford Files and Hill Street Blues? I remember he was a really big name in TV theme music for a few years.

Yeah. Rockford and Hill Street are on his resume, along with the Law & Order variants. He's done almost every single show Stephen Cannell ever worked on, I think, from Rockford onward.
