DT-45 has declared his 2024 presidential candidacy.

I'm not happy.

There's no certainty the missile was Russian fired- the Ukranians use the same model, the R360 and were firing at Russian incoming at the time so it could have been a simple accident.

Yeah, I read just now that it was a Ukrainian defence missile. Which, for the victims, it doesn't really matter, but for geopolitics it's a huge difference.

Barred owls are a known hazard -- there's an area in our City Forest where they post warnings every year. They vant to be alone.

I recall one incident in 2015 on Parliament Hill here in Ottawa-Gatineau. Red-winged blackbird rather than an owl...and noting that one of the attacked people interviewed for the video in the link is Alex Binkley, member of the Parliamentary Press Gallery, published SF author, and a friendly acquaintance from local writing workshops. Partly balding, greyish hair and mustache?

I'm hoping that Trump and DeSantis wreck each other beyond all possibility of repair myself, sure. I'm also not sure that I want to sit back and wait for whatever happens to happen. Also, we need to watch for people playing it quiet who might do even worse than either of them.

It is indeed. I wouldn't put it past them to nudge the results somewhat toward DeSantis to try to dissuade Trump (it's not like the GOP wanted him even the first time, it was probably supposed to be Jeb! or somesuch) but those polling numbers, even if unreliable, show a large gap.
