Lawrence Martin on Canadian Politics of Late

Lawrence Martin's one of the regular columnists for the Globe and Mail.

Today, though, with someone's help on Facebook, I stumbled across this thing:

http://www.ipolitics.ca/2011/12/02/lawrence-martin-the-rise-in-canada-of-all-places-of-right-wing-nationalism/

Might I suggest a read-through?

If I said that I was uncomfortable with the whole package, would that earn me a "weird nutter" glance?

Don't take it personally... :-)

The Liberals and Conservatives are idiots, and the NDP is too far left to be anything but an opposition party.

I'd like a right of centre option.

Well, I grew up mostly in Saskatchewan back during the Blakeney years, so NDP? I consider them saner than a lot of other options. Although I do consider the Green, Pirate and Rhinoceros Parties as potentially useful on different fronts for different reasons.
