After Iron Man
I went to see Iron Man yesterday, as noted. It was worth the nine loons and two hours' viewing time.
Some quick notes
Many amusing notes throughout the film, none of them really out of place, especially given the premise and characters.
I'm reasonably sure that the Ten Rings will show up again, as a front group for a long-time Iron Rogue.
thebitterguy and others have noted issues of international/inter-ethnic relations that may need addressing in the next couple of years before the next movie in this branch series. I tend to think the character in question's outgrown his beginnings, particularly in the last decade. We'll see.
"Intelli-crops": Another reason to dislike Tony before the Life Change came up during that verbal sparring with Ms. Everhart from Brown College. Does Stark Industries have its own Percy Schmeisser somewhere in its history?
SHIELD. Not sure what I think of the movie's modification to the long-form of that acronym, although it is true to the original version's initial depictions to some extent as a US/NATO-linked organization as opposed to its modern role as the uber-Blue Berets of the Marvel Universe(which I hold a deep, sentimental and political affection for these days). Their whole role in this movie is rather low-key by comparison with their comics ancestors...which may not be a bad thing for now.
That cameo at the end was far too short, though.
I might just take in that new Hulk movie...
Oh, one more thing: that NCF Mail server issue I mentioned last entry? Solved. My normal e-mail address is up and running again.

That said, you did not have to *nag* us to wait for the "Easter egg" (aka cameo) at the end after the credits. Urrrk.
Also, not all of us are into comics nearly as much. Most of the comics I am familiar with are continental European in origin (French 'bande dessinee') and their style, wit and assumptions are very different from North American super-hero comics.
Speaking of which, you have heard about the "Tintin movie" that Steven Spielberg is coming out with next year? [See 'http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0983193/' for more about this.]
Several points
Sorry for the nuisance factor you got out of my "easter egg" warning. I didn't know who else already knew to wait for it, is all I can say to that.
I'd heard about the Tintin project, which will likely be the first anglophone adaptation to live action for that franchise if memory serves.
