CBC Radio: End of an Era at the Current

I've been reminded that Anna Maria Tremonti is leaving the host chair at The Current for the world of podcasting. And that she plans to make her work exclusively podcast-based from that point onward.

I am troubled by this news and I'm not entirely sure that I can explain why. Not yet.

I only listen to her when I'm further north, but me personally:

I'm troubled by people who have spread their work on terrestrial radio, which is accessible free to millions, who retreat to podcasting, which is occasionally hard to find, and is on the internet, which is not universally accessible.
